Project: Koala Clinic and Visitors Centre

Location: Queensland, Australia

Year: 2021
Conceived in response to the devastating Australian wildfires of 2019, this project challenges conventional approaches to wildlife rehabilitation architecture. Rather than focusing solely on healing injured animals, the design promotes a proactive model—one that catalyzes broader ecological restoration and supports long-term conservation. By integrating prevention, awareness, and rehabilitation across multiple scales, the project envisions a more sustainable, bio-centric architecture—one that not only responds to crisis, but actively contributes to the health and resilience of the natural environment and its inhabitants.
